Whatcha eating today VSGers...Thursday!!
Good morning everyone. Last night at support group one of the big topics was the feeling of embarrassment, how we allow that emotion to prevent us from doing things and ways to overcome it. For me, one of the more embarrassing steps was that I took pictures in just my bra/underwear right before surgery. Actually my best friend talked me into doing it and he took the pictures. I can't say that I really conquered the embarrassment at the time I just toughed it out. It got me thinking and so my question for all of you is during your WLS journey what embarrassing challenges have you encountered and how did you overcome those things?

Every new fitness class I try is an lesson in embarrassment! I'm so uncoordinated and clueless. But, I stick with it and feel better and stronger for having done so.
I'm still depressed. It sucks. But I got to lift heavy things this morning and I have therapy in a bit and I'll be polishing my nails as well. So hopefully I can stay at an even keel. And I participated in some retail therapy in the form of ordering pens... I'm going to be a student in the Fall, so I totally need lots of new pens. RIGHT?!

I definitely need a pen case...
I can't do an extra massage right now, but I do have one scheduled for the 26th and then I leave for Norway for a week of actual real vacation on the 28th. So at least there's that :D

I know that everyone else feels (or at least felt) how I feel. So that knowledge helped me to stick with it and not let my fears overwhelm me.
