How long should I wait before I want to get surgery part 2? Has anyone ever done it?

My surgeon avoids the question. He keeps saying I'll get there, but I see nothing going anywhere. He won't even talk to me about the topic and always changes the subject. I asked him to do an xray to see if maybe I stretched my pouch, which I have insurance so no biggie there, but he won't even do that. I just want to know about how long I should wait before I go and consider part 2...

And just when and what surgery did you have, and what do you consider to be part 2?

I had the sleeve. June 11, 2014. I was told part 2 is pretty much the bypass. I was supposed to get that done in the first place but due to stress ulcers my doctor said i couldn't because i needed some natural acids for that reason. So he said i was best with the sleeve.

Do you think there is something wrong with your sleeve?

What, exactly, are you eating each day?  Are you weighing and tracking everything you eat?

If there's something mechanically wrong with your sleeve you should get an endoscopy. If your surgeon won't do that - see another surgeon or a GI doctor for one. A well made sleeve won't stretch though.

I am following the meal plans that they gave me. Yes I track with myfitnesspal. I do weigh my food because I can never finish more than 5 bites of anything.

Monday I am going to my surgeon for my 1 year appt. And if he still won't listen or so anything. I already made up my mind to for sure go to a different surgeon.

What, exactly, are you eating?  All of us get different plans from our surgeons and some are suboptimal.

And start weight and amount lost? If you've lost 100+ pounds then I'd have to side with your doctor your getting there, it just takes time (and as all ways get stated it didn't take you a year to put all the weight on..). If you've only lost 30pounds well something's  not quite right - most likely there's something dietary or portion wise you need to work on..

I believe I was 315ish surgery day. I weigh 258 now. Been between 250 and 258. I'll lose the 8lbs and then it comes back.
