Any post ops have hypoglycemia?
See my post a few above here... I gave a link for a terrific option at Amazon. They may carry it in a local health food store as well. At the very least, check the ingredients of what you might purchase. Far too many have extra crap in it, and for sure it is this if you see the word "blend" in the name. Even without a name indicator, still check- it should just be stevia and nothing else.

Try a search on casein protein. I now use it before bedtime for its slow release. Therefore, when I awake and have gone without food for 8-10 hrs it has a longer lasting time than just whey protein which is very fast-acting!
I too, have hypoglycemia if I do not eat every two-three hours. BS goes down to 60ish. I have never had diabetes. This is new since VSG. I will always have 1-2oz protein. Nope! This is not grazing, it is preventative. WLS staff aware. Also, they informed me this is not to be confused with "reactive hypoglycemia"...which usually occurs, according to NUT, up to 2-6hrs post ingesting carby/sugary foods..????
Good luck! It can sure feel yucky!

you arent eating any carbohydrates. try eating some that are rich in fiber and spreading throughout the day. oatmeal, beans, high fiber wraps, whole fruits. at 2 years out you really should consider working these back into your diet slowly, with moderation.
