It will take a few days to adjust to the diet but then you'll be fine.  I hope your surgery date is this month so you can join the rest of us on the loser's bench.

I found the pre-op diet to be challenging because you do not have the sleeve to help you with portion control.  but keep your eye on the prize, and you'll push thru it.  I lost 50 pounds before surgery and I'm so glad I did.  It made the surgery safer and the post-surgery weight loss more satisfying (cuz I got to add 50 to the numbers )

best of luck.  You'll do great, and you'll love the results!

I'm on day 9 of 14 for an all liquid diet. Like everyone says, it's horrible in the beginning but does get better after about day 3. Good luck!

It is hard, but so worth it in the end! And you'll likely be amazed you could even eat that much after you had your sleeve. lol. Mine was three protein shakes a day, a 1/2 cup of either low fat cottage cheese, fat free milk, or lite yogurt 3 times a day, and then clear liquids for. That as the first 5 days. Second 5 days was just three protein shakes a day and clear liquids. I bet that one meal will save you! Good luck!

Stay strong. The pre op diet was by far the hardest part of the process for me.  You can do it and it is so worth it.

I'm on Day 4 of the 2 week pre-op diet.   Im a little weak and I've found that "liquid in means liquid out", if you get my drift.  Lol.  We will both get thru it!!!

Hello all!

I am actually on Day 2 of my 2-week pre-op liquid diet. And when they say liquid, they mean it! I can have 4 low-carb shakes a day plus as much water, 0 calorie drinks, de-caf tea/coffee, and sugar-free jello and popsicles. I can also have fat-free, low-sodium broth - which has been a lifesaver since I am NOT a sweets person at all, and I really do not like the taste of artificial sweetner.

My sleeve is scheduled for June 24th and I'm just hoping these two weeks go by quickly. Honestly, the closer to the surgery date, the more its starting to hit me and the more my excitement turns into anxiety.
