Doctor pleased with my 4 1/2 month labwork :-)
I had an appointment with my Internist today. I had her do my labwork (so insurance would cover it;Ssince I was self-pay, they would not cover it if my Surgeon did it). My internist was very concerned about my labwork, and my glucose levels in particula,r when I saw her last December, and that was what motivated me to get the Sleeve even though my insurance would not pay for it. She was very pleased with my weight (down 71 pounds) and my labs. All my Vitamin Levels are great, my Glucose is down, and my lipids are way down. She said to cut my Cholesterol Prescription in half, and by my Annual appt in December, I may be able to drop it all together. My Glucose numbers are still Pre-dabetic, but not just one number under Diabetic as they were last December, but very close to the normal range. She expects they will be normal in December as well. She was very encouraging, and said my whole demeanor was so much more positive and my energy level was so much higher than before. AND...it was so nice to not dread stepping on the scale! She was also very glad to hear that I was part of a Support Group (That is all of you!) :-) Kay
