Hello everyone,

I'm one day post op and I wanted to know if these symptoms where deemed "normal" before I worry.

I am in so much pain (where they pulled the stomach out) it is such a sharp shooting pain that makes me unable to move much or move my arms very much.

I havent been able to drink much liquid before I start to feel pain.

I am currently on morphin and the pain that I feel does not seem to wan to go away.

Is it normal? Or should I contact my doctor and tell him about the pain?

If in doubt contact your doctor. :)

Call the doctor.  Some people have more pain than others, and need something extra for relief.  Being unable to drink much liquid is not unusual - some people have better luck with warm liquids rather than cold.

That doesn't seem to be the norm, I'd definitely call your surgeon.  I was in the hospital for 5 days and never had a certain pain that didn't go away (especially when given the dilaudid).
