Just got a call from my surgeon's office today.

June 23: Doctor's Appt in Dayton

June 24: EGD (scope my esophagus and stomach for ulcers...should be fun.) scheduled at Grandview for 7AM, and the big day

July 6, THE BIG DAY-- bright and early--no time yet.

Pre-admission testing will be at some point.

Nervous and now processing what I am going to be doing to myself but this is all a good thing and putting me into a better place.

I could have had this all done at the end of June and I told the scheduler that I needed time to think, pray, and process. So that is why I took the first date in July.

If you have a food addiction that keeps you from being healthy, as I do, I am sure you will decide that surgery is the right thing for you.

Yes, I have struggled and still struggle with food. Ben and Jerry are the devil's playground. lol. I never thought about it like that until I started this process. This one and a host of other medical problems were the reasoning I chose to pursue surgical options for my weight loss.

Before you know it, you will be years out from surgery and all of the anxiety and doubts will feel like a distant memory. And, if you follow the plan... carrying the excess weight will hopefully be a distant memory too. Good luck to you!

In addition to reflection and prayer, try to get as active as you can and if possible, lose some weight before surgery. You'll be as ready as you can be when surgery day comes. Best of luck to you!

Love that username!!! I actually went for a couple of short walks last night to get the blood flowing. My bike is in the repair shop for a major overhaul.
