Hey everyone. I had a really good walk this morning and focused on my pace. As my mileage has gone up my pace has really dropped. It felt good to focus on a faster pace and be able to sustain it for 4 miles. I'm still not where I was when I was 3 miles or less but it was a step in the right direction.

B1: carb master chocolate mile and protein shake (pre/post workout)

B2: 3 tbsp egg beaters, 1 tbsp unflavored protein powder and 1 tbsp queso cheese

L: Morningstar chipotle black bean burger. These have been really yummy to me recently. 2 oz raspberries

D: Grilled chicken and I may run to the grocery store and get a small salad as well. That sounds good to me right now. We will see how it goes in a couple hours.

W&V: On track

E: 4 mile walk

NEXT?

Oh I hate those times. It is definitely something I struggle with as well. At least you are making better choices when those darn hormones have gone crazy. That is a positive step, right?

And my dad's cancer has spread to his liver.  I just want to crawl under a rock.  I skipped my run this morning, I felt like I'd been hit by a mack truck when I woke up.  I've got aikido tonight but I worry it'd be dangerous for me to go since I'm a bit distracted.  If I don't go, I'll do some yoga at home just to get my 15 minutes in.

1: frankenshake
2: leftover oslo kebabs
3: no idea

liquids and vites: mostly on track, I will be before I go to bed
exercise: unclear - aikido or yoga

Gwen,

I am so incredibly sorry to hear this news. I was really hoping for something much different. I can't say that I understand or can relate but you and your family are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. Please do whatever you need to do to take care of yourself during this very difficult time.

I'm heading out to celebrate my hubby's birthday this evening, and I had lunch out with a friend.  so this won't be a model diet day.

breakfast - salmon

lunch - cobb salad with grilled chicken

lunch2 - more cobb salad with grilled chicken

Dinner - eating out - probably steak and veggies, but we'll see.

exercise - weight training and recumbent bike

water - good

vitamins - on track.

Have a good day, everyone.

Carol

I don't think your meal plan sounds horrible. Heck, I think of how mine would have looked 7 months ago if I was going to lunch with a friend and then had a birthday celebration dinner on the same day. I'm fairly confident that salad with grilled chicken wouldn't have been on the menu :)
