It is so hard to believe that it has been 3 months already (25th was). Even though I struggled in the beginning and am still not perfect now, dang water, I am still so proud of how well. I am doing. Since having surgery I am down 35.4 lbs. However since my first consult back in November I am down 50 pounds!!!

I had my check up with my surgeon last week and he said that I was doing great and that my slowed weight loss is normal at the 3 month mark and to just up my exercise. He also cleared me for all foods, though I haven't had anything out of the ordinary yet. I have been wanting salad but am a little nervous. Plus it is hard to explain to my brain that I can have it even though it isn't protein. I haven't been able to justify it yet.

Clothes wise I am down 1 to 2 sizes depending on how they are made. Which is awesome. Last time I had lost weight I got down to 160 before I was able to wear some of the clothes I am wearing now! I was exercising then too but apparently it is different this time. I am in some 16s though they become too loose by the end of the day, and some 14's! I am beyond excited about this! Right now I am working out 2-3x a week but am seriously considering starting C25k again. I did it a few years ago and loved it. Running does amazing things for the body.

The past month from adding exercise I have lost 12 in all over. Surprisingly my thighs look smaller but haven't changed at all, well actually one gained 1.5 in. But I know that is from squats.

Sorry this is so long winded. I haven't been on here much so thought I would do a BIG update!

Oh and just curious what is everyone's calories and carbs like in a day? My doctor never gave me a range on either. All I was told was 80 grams of protein a day, which I usually get or more.

When I was 3 months out, my rules were:

--max 800 calories and 60 carbs per day

--minimum 75 grams protein per day

--no grains, no sweets, no starchy veggies

--3 meals per day, max 3 oz. per meal

--no snacks other than calorie-free liquids and protein shakes.

That does sound somewhat similar to what I am doing now. Except I have way less carbs than that. I usually stay under 800 calories too, but I didn't know if that was too much.

What about dairy? Thank you for your reply!

I was permitted any kind of dairy as long as my daily macros stayed on track. Well, not ice cream of course, but other kinds of dairy like milk, yogurt, and cheese.

Awesome great successes!  Way to go!  Keep up the great work :)

My surgeon's plan only cares about protein, liquid, and 3 small meals a day with no liquid calories aside from a protein shake for breakfast.  So I don't track calories or carbs - I do weigh all of my meals to be 4-5 ounces each.

Great progress! I will be 4 months out on June 2. My surgeon wants me at 1000 calories a day (no less than 850/900), 70+ protein (my daily goal on MyFitnessPal is 88 and I reach it daily) and
