Constipation
Did your surgeon gives you guidelines regarding what you could use to help? Mine wants his new surgicals to use Milk of Magnesia, but each surgeon is different in what they want their patients to do. I would suggest giving your doc a call if you don't have written instructions and be sure you are getting on enough fluid!
A daily dose of Miralax helped me out in the beginning few weeks following surgery. Now (16 weeks out), I'll experience constipation periodically if I am ingesting a lot of dairy.
When I do, I drink Smooth Move tea before bed and follow it up with the rare cup of fully caffeinated coffee the next morning. It's guaranteed I'll go within the first hour or so after that combo.
Good of luck finding a solution that works for you - I understand the misery!

Miralax and if you are really bad off then suppositories well do the trick. I found that putting ground flax seed in my shake helped. I would make sure you are ok to use it before you do though.
Another vote for Miralax. It keeps things moving for me. Good luck.

Definitely speak with your doctor about it.
My vote is for Miralax. It takes 1 to 3 days to work, but it is wonderful! It's easy to use, tasteless, no grit, no cramps and can be used in any liquids.
My doctor had told me to take it once a day and keep doing it until I become regular. I also take fiber gummies. I have never felt so 'free' as I do now.
