Who consumes more by volume in a single meal a year post-op: VSG or RNY?

I've seen stats in my WLS reading that show RNYers lose more weight initially, but that VGSers keep it off better long-term.

When I read your post, I couldn't help picturing a large picnic table with RNYers on one side and VGSers on the other in a pie-eating contest to see who could eat the most pie. Sorry!

Can you provide a link to those stats?

I saw them in a book. I'll look later today to find the citation and post it.

Chilipepper, I couldn't find the stat table I mentioned, so I went online. I found some sites that mention long-term weight maintenance VSG vs. RNY. All said that there was no significant difference between the two procedures. My book must have been a little out of date on that issue.
