Week before surgery

It's a week before surgery and today I started my liquid diet. So far so good. Even though my liquids aren't keeping me satiated as much as I'd like, it feels good not to be tired after I drink something or eat jello! And the peeing....my urine is so clear and never ending. Hahaha

I think the pre-op diet is the worst. Once you make it through that, you're good to go :)

I am on my pre-op diet as well. Surgery is June 2nd. It is very hard. The dietitian at my surgeon's office has said the pre-op diet is probably one of the most difficult parts, if not the most difficult, pre-op. It will only go up from here. I know what you mean about tiem going slow!

Thanks so much for commenting. It's now 7 p.m. and a few hours ago I started feeling queasy, shaky and have a headache. Are you having problems with any of this? I googled protein shakes and it said they can make you queasy. My surgeon's office and nutritionist's offices are closed today, so I can't ask them.

Oh my goodness! No, I haven't had that so far. I am not sure how similar our diets are though. I can three servings of either low fat cottage cheese, lite yogurt, or 1/2 cup of milk a day in addition to protein shakes and clear liquids (sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles included). I have felt that way from low blood sugar before, but a lot of stuff can cause that. Can you lay down for a bit? I would call them as soon as they open in the morning!
