Eating and Exercise
It felt like so much longer than 8 weeks when I was reading your comments! But two months seems.. manageable. In my mind I keep thinking it'll be more like 3-4 months!
Thanks :) I'm hoping to do it after maintaining for a year so I'm sort of eyeballing summer 2017.

I try to drink as much as I can every day, so I guess exercise doesn't change that. But, yes, drinking more to compensate for fluid loss through sweat is wise.

Well put...per usual from you. I will move how and when I eat depending what exercise I'm doing. Monday I'm running a 10K my meals and snack time will change to accommodate me. I don't add anything extra into what I eat on days when I have longer runs!

Nice job making exercise a priority! I am a clinical exercise physiologist - just be sure to watch for signs of over-training. Here is a good journal article on what to look out for More is not Always Better
One of the signs of working out too much is absence of menstruation. I guess I have been working out too much my entire life.

Thanks! That's a great article. Overtraining and exercise addiction are definitely things I'm trying to be on the lookout for so I appreciate the nudge.
What is the education/certification path to become a clinical exercise physiologist? I'm starting college in the fall to pursue an AA in exercise and sport science, so I'm curious!

I have a Master's Degree though there are Bachelor's programs out there too. On top of that I have a certification of Clinical Exercise Physiologist through ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) - they have several levels of certification. Your path really depends on what you want to do with the degree. I work in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. I'll be honest, most exercise science careers require at least a Bachelor's Degree - it is an exciting and ever growing field to work in though.
