what type of protein shakes or whey protein do you find the best?
My requirements were:
- Whey Protein Isolate, not concentrate. Concentrate is in cheaper protein shakes, but it has lactose in it.
- Sugar free
- Dissolves well (not gritty)
- Decent taste
Syntrax Nectar ha**** the mark for me. But everyone's tastes are different, so try ordering a sample pack (Nashua Nutrition offers them) and see what you like.
Unjury is the only protein powder that I'll use. They certify that they don't import their whey protein isolate from China so it's guaranteed to be lead and arsenic free. And I love the taste of the Chocolate Splendor and Chicken Soup flavors.
My husband uses Syntrax Nectars and uses the cookie-flavored one.
My favorite from the get go has been Optimum Nutrition Double Rich Chocolate. Nashua sells samples of it.

I had a very difficult time finding a protein shake my body would tolerate after surgery.
My favorite is Pure Protein. The RTD bottles are 23grams of protein, low cal and low carb. They also have a can version which I believe is 32 grams of protein, higher calories though. I like both, and enjoy using them as "cream" in my coffee (vanilla, cookies & crème, chocolate).
