Almost 8 Years Out- Looking for people 5+ years out
I was in 11' so not five years quite. Glad to read you are back! I too notice that the same food intake on different days may result in some days experience early satiety while others eating more. In my case there was a clear hormonal pattern associated with my monthly cycle. Other than that, more carbs than what I know I can handle will also result in the feeling of loss of restriction. Good luck chipping away at your thirty- you are off to a good start just by coming back!

Glad you dropped by! I want to offer that the acid might be resulting in the difficulty in getting the 30 pounds off. I had my gallbladder and a very large hiatel hernia fixed a little over a year ago. Just prior to that I was dealing with a lot of acid, and had gained 30 pounds, putting me over my goal weight for a period. After surgery and with the acid dealt with, the weight came right back off.
Kombucha tea is now what I regularly use to manage the little bit of acid issues I have remaining, with occasional doses of a PPI. I thought at first it was just me that seemed to benefit from the kombucha, but a few others on here who have tried have also found a benefit. If you are not used to drinking it, start with just 4 ounces or so a day until your body has time to adjust. I now attribute much of the acid issues that I do have to fallout from losing the gallbladder. With the hernia it was a constant issue, whereas now it is something that flares up when I eat food with even minimal fat content.
Glad to see you have returned, checking in periodically does help all of us to stay on track. :)

Thank you so much for posting this. Its funny too because I decided just last week I need to find someone to discuss my GERD with. It has not gotten any better and I know taking nexium daily is not sustainable.
I have lost 15 pounds of my 30 on a LCHF diet- so at least there is that.
Thank you very much for posting.
