I'm looking forward to no more chub rub.  Seriously.  My thighs could start a fire with the right pair of pants.

I don't know if there is enough room for my list!

1) having energy again to keep up with my husband, granddaughter & other family members

2) to be able to stand & walk for long periods of time...grocery shopping is a chore & getting stuck in a long check out line could be cause for a medical emergency...lol...

3) to be able to look in the mirror for longer than a glance & not cringe & smh

4) to be able to travel w/out looking forward to getting our room so I can take a much needed nap

5) to be able to sit anywhere & not be embarrassed at how I have to 'push off' to get up!

6) to take a bubble bath & not have to worry about calling the EMT's to haul me out of the tub

7) to wear a variety of clothes & colors aside from my stretch pants & oversized tops

8) to look halfway good for my husband who never ever complained about the weight

9) most of all to get healthy again and learn to value myself and my body

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for your Thankful list. I'm with you too. I was 250 lbs and my husband never complained. When did you have your surgery? Mine was 12/15/14. 5 months ago.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, Robin.

Getting all these notifications for posts you 'liked' are annoying! don't think I will be checking that box again...lol!

I am still pre-op...should have surgery in September if I clear all the insurance hoops!

I am over 300 right now, but have lost almost 40 lbs since February. My husband walks with me & tries to eat the way I have been taught in order to support me. I am so thankful! This is such a huge undertaking that not only do I need his support, but I need to come on here daily for reinforcement, too!

I look forward to continuing to wear the same size clothing from year to year and only having to buy new clothes when I want something new, NOT because I have gotten too big to fit into my old clothes.
