I had to have my gallbladder removed early due to complications. The original plan was to have it removed when i get sleeved in late July. So far Im hurting pretty good and have a terrible sore throat from the breathing tube. How do I get myself ready have surgery again in late July when I hate how I feel now? Anybody have a similar story?

I had my GB out 2 weeks ago and have another surgery in 7 weeks (9 wks post GB). Best advice is rest, rest, rest to get your strength back. Obey the lifting restrictions, even more so now to let your body totally heal before vsg. And be gentle with your food choices, especially these first few weeks. You might have some loose bowel movements and these will also pass.

I've found recovery from GB easier than vsg but each person has their own experience. Sore throat will go away - I gently gargled Listerine for some relief. Just be very gentle with yourself, I cannot stress this enough. Rest, walk and build your strength.

Surgery: April 30, 2014: HW: 288 SW: 250 Achieved Goal 149 lbs: April 8, 2015 CW: 158 lbs (working on losing 65 lb regain as of June 1, 2021. Weight was at 215 lbs). Fighting every darn day!
