2 years post op and happy (with pics)
Carol...CONGRATULATIONS! You look absolutely wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing your pictures and your age. At 62, I wondered if I was too old to have the surgery. I am so glad that I did! At 3 months out I have lost half my excess weight and am already feeling years younger. YOU truly have been an inspiration. Now, when I get to goal, I might reconsider that maybe I'm not too old to have an abdominoplasty either! :-) Kay

Oh my goodness Carol you are my inspiration! I am 65 and going through the rigors of tests, doctors visits, sleep studies, etc. preparing for my surgery and your post was right on time.
At our age, people don't always get it. I am not trying to find a mate, or be a model, or anything that has to do with looks, but I need to keep my knees and joints. I don't want knee replacements but my ortho doctor has warned me it will be coming soon if I don't get the weight off. I had a meniscus repaired back in January of this year and that is when he told me I need to lose weight. AT 5'3" and 265 lbs, the joints are suffering. :( I have hypothyroidism so my BMI has not been under 41.1 over the past 5 years. Of course now it is much higher.
So hopefully in two years I can post a tribute to the weight loss surgery for someone else to read that will appreciate it as much as I have appreciated yours. :)
