I'm almost 6 weeks out from surgery. I've never been one to consume caffeinated drinks all day long but loved my one cup of coffee in the morning. I've been drinking decaf but it's not the same. At what point did you start drinking caffeinated drinks again? Thanks!

I was drinking coffee at about 6 weeks. I mentioned on a post yesterday that at first it didn't taste great, but it does now to the point of I would consider murder to get a cup in the morning :)
There's science that contradicts the idea that caffinated beverages inhibit hydration and should not be counted towards your 64 oz minimum/day. (Refer to WebMd, Mayo Clinic & ASMBS).
Sorry 3 am typing not good 😬 over and over I say, stick to the researched, medically sound plan. Mine says.... For LIFE, no caffeine. Period. Small sacrifice
I am a one cup a day coffee drinker as well and I didn't start the caffeinated coffee until about 2 months. I don't think decaf tastes the same either!
I started drinking caffeine very quickly after surgery. I've managed to stay off of the diet coke -- although I'm getting tempted more and more lately, but coffee / coffee protein shakes have been incorporated from one or two weeks out.
