Runny nose when full

My nose starts running when my stomach has had enough.  Has anyone else noticed this?

That happens to me, right before the hiccups.

Yes, This was one of the early signs that I was full. It will still happen, but I try to under-eat my sleeve so I don't experience it often.

Best wishes,

Carol

My nose has been running on and off since my surgery last week. The last couple days it seems to be only after I eat (I'm still on liquids so in talking soup and protein drinks). So I googled it and it has something to do with the vagus nerve that is cut/separated or whatever during surgery. Some people get runny noses sneezing or hiccups when they get full. Weird huh??

Happens every time I eat, whether I eat a little or a lot.  I read somewhere that when our stomachs are smaller the vagus nerve tends to get stimulated more easily and that's one of the reasons for the runny nose.

Yes, it's a very common reaction.  It happens to me when I eat too much or too fast.  I also get the hiccups sometimes.

Hi: Yes every time I'm to full, my nose runs and I sneeze like ten time, this started after my VSG surgery, it's my sign to stop eating.
