Coffee
My surgeon & my Nut said I could have it as soon as I wanted to...they even told me I could have some the day after surgery! However, as much as I loved black coffee before sugery, it no lnger tastes good to me. So I have one mug each morning with some cream in it (has less carbs than milk). :-)

I think I was allowed decaf coffee about two weeks post op. The coffee didn't cause me any problems and I couldn't leave it behind. There are many things I had to leave behind, but losing coffee would be a major loss.
best wishes,

If I remember correctly, I drank decaf made at home within the first week or so. The NUT suggested not getting decaf out, as sometimes errors were made and you got high test by mistake. I honestly can't remember if I was cleared for regular coffee after my 2 week, or my 6 week follow up. I almost think it was after the 2 week. I drink a travel mug or large mug at home, of regular coffee every morning. I usually have a large decaf in the afternoon.
