Happy Six Months Surgiversary to me!!!
Today is my six month!! Wahoo! I’m notorious for being long winded when I talk and write! I’ll try and keep this short and sweet. The VSG is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I wish I would have done it 10 years ago. If you can follow directions than you can do this. Stick to the plan and you will succeed! I started my pre – op diet at 291 lbs. and as of April 7th I was 203 lbs. I could be in onderland…..who knows! I actually picked up a scale at Kohls last week, but didn’t buy it! I have my follow up with my weight loss center the second week of May so I will know what I weigh then! My goal is 170 as I’m 5’8”. I will see how I feel once I get there. There have been many NSV’s…..the highlights are I’m a runner again, I paddled boarded on vacation earlier this month & I’m playing basketball in a league again! I’m an athlete again! It feels good. I have a skirt I saved from my 25th bday…..I will be 40 this June. I was hoping to wear it for my 40th! The good news is…….that skirt may be too big by June, 30!
The before pictures were take the day before I started my pre-op diet (the MI shirt) & about six weeks before my pre-op (purple shirt) and the other was taken today.
Here is another one with face comparison.
