How do you under-eat your sleeve?

I use small dishes, and weigh everything but I would certainly love to feel this satisfied feeling everyone talks about. I am visiting this subject with my therapist and trying to work on mindful eating.

I measure my meals, put what I've measured on my plate, and beyond that it's willpower.  My partner takes care of leftovers, I don't eat when I'm cooking dinner.  Can your kids get their own snacks?  Could you make up kid-friendly snacks once a week and put them at kid level in the fridge/cabinet for them to grab?

Something I struggle with is eating slower which helps to stop eating as the full signal is reached.  Chew thoroughly and slowly.  I have gotten away from my NUTS advice but it should take 20-30 minutes to eat.

There are lots of places that sell dishes individually where you can buy yourself a se of small size plates and bowls so you can eat like adults instead of on kiddie plates. It's just nice to have real dinner ware to eat on. You fill that plate with your portion and then that's it. Do you feel like you have to eat the left povers so they don't just go to waste and get thrown out? I put all my little bits of food in a zip lock bag in the freezer and then when I have enough I make a nice thick chunky soup out of them. just pour some broth over the left overs and let them cook for awhile and there you go "stoup". If you are already full just remind yourself "I choose not to eat this" or "I am not hungry".

I use the dessert plates that came with my dishes. They are the perfect size. I'm not really eating to not waste food, although I used to. I think I've gotten past that. I think it is more that I just really like food. I did much better today.

My body and i got in tune with each other.  I learned that my body will tell me when I'm reaching my threshold, but either a drippy nose or 1 to 3 hiccups.  When this occurs, I need to stop eating.  A difference of one or two bites is the world here, and hard to wrap your head around.  Don't be afraid to leave that one or two bites behind.
