Looking for a way to say thanks to my surgeon but we all know surgeons have everything :) i am trying to think of something that is sentimental - a thank you to him for changing my life. I've got a card with a handwritten note but looking for more...Thoughts???

What about making a donation to a non profit organization in the surgeons name.

Maybe include a before and after photo of yourself and explain the specific ways that the surgery has improved your life?  Or let him/her know that their profession is not just a job but a life changing and life saving profession?  Others here may have better ideas. Good luck!

Another idea, maybe include a lifesaver candy or a hero sticker?

I would stick to a hand written thank you letter/card. Most hospitals/medical group have policies that don't allow health care workers to accept gifts of any value and I think he would appreciate the kind words the most anyway (I know I would - I work in health care too!)
