Question

I'm almost 4 weeks post-op and thankfully up to this point my recovery has been uneventful. I have noticed the past few days that it feels like I have a glob of mucous in my throat that I'm trying to clear. I had some reflux issues before my surgery but this doesn't feel like reflux unless it's presenting itself in a different way. Also, pollen has been a nightmare where I live so I usually have allergy issues this time of year. I wonder if it could be related to that? Any thoughts? thanks!

Post nasal drip can definitely be a symptom of reflux. I had it and it clued me into the fact that my PPI wasn't working. I switched from omeprazole to protonix and that was a life saver! Of course, it is hard to say now that it is allergy season. I have brutal allergies. But in my case, this was in the middle of winter so I know it was the acid.
