Has anyone done a revision from band to sleeve?  if so, can you share your overall feelings of how you healed and what that entailed????

I too was the first surgery of the day, arrived at 5:30, in surgery at 7.  I was a revision lapband to sleeve. BEST thing I ever did.  The recovery was 100% better than the band.  I was home the next day. Never had any pain. It was so much more comfortable than the band and continues to be.  Today is my 1 month anniversary and my only regret is not having done it sooner.  My hope for you is that you get to experience the night and day difference, you will truly appreciate the sleeve.

Hello thisisit, thank you so much for this.  Now what you did not mention is how much you have lost...lol.  I was told that this sort of 2 in 1 surgery the weight lost is slow....? Please advise.

My first week I lost 16 and since then I've lost 8 so a total of 24 my first month.  I walked A LOT.  Since I was off of work for 2 weeks and felt better than I had for the ladt several years with the band, I took advantage of the time and walked everyday.  My daily goal is 15,000 steps.  i think this is why I've done well this month.  You'll do great!

I had the band-to-sleeve revision. The surgery went smoothly and my hospital stay (2 days) couldn't have been easier. I had very little pain and that was from the incisions. Don't be alarmed by how little water you can drink in the hospital. Your ability to take in liquids will increase by the hour.

I'm 63, so I didn't heal as quickly as the younger sleevers. During my recovery at home, I was queasy all the time and had a great deal of trouble getting enough water. If that happens to you, don't hesitate to ask your surgeon for anti-nausea medicine. It works wonders. I didn't as****il after I went to the ER twice for dehydration, so do whatever you must to get in those 64 ounces of water daily. You will probably have moments during recovery when you wonder whether getting the sleeve was a huge mistake. This is normal.

I'm now 2 1/2 months post-op, and I can now say without reservation that I LOVE MY SLEEVE! You'll get there too.

BTW, be glad you're first in the queue for surgery. Your surgeon will be fresh as a daisy after a good night's sleep.

Best of luck!

Hello psychoticparrot,

Thank you so much, it is good to have this sort of information going in.   How much weight have you lost? I was telling Thisisit, that same thing as she did the same surgery.  Can you share on that?

Thank you so much

You can do it.  Just walk and sip as much as possible and give yourself time to heal both inside and out!  :)
