2 5ks under my belt!!
I'm so pumped! I now have 2 5k metals! I'm trying to average a medal a month for the 2015 years. I cannot believe how far I have come! I can go out and run a mile any time I want. I know that might not mean much to some, but when you have been obese for a while and struggled to tie your own shoe, being able to running a few miles is the best feeling in the world. I love my new life and I'm never going back!!
Congrats!
I'm proud of you! And somewhat envious that you're looking at getting 12 medals for the year! You go girl! Woo hoo!
I'm signed up for my first 5 K at the end of May (to celebrate my 45th birthday). I cannot wait! But wow, I'm nervous too! Isn't it an incredible feeling though? Coming from the point of huffing and puffing to tie your laces to running a 5K?! WILD! Gotta love it!
I can certainly relate to this post. And I'm glad you posted it this morning! Kudos to you!

Way to go! I love racing and the running community :) I've done 4 5ks so far (since last October), but I've only gotten 2 medals - not all 5ks give them out. :(
