My sleeve has done what it should do 13 month update
on 4/13/15 2:13 pm
I am 13 months post op. My highest wt 297 .My 18 month goal weight is 189, from my doc. since oct I have been 191-196 constantly. My weight loss is due to my sleeve restriction(thank you). Medical issues have prevented me from doing activities eg. walking, exercising. I'm working on getting better and know I will be able to lose the 20 more pounds I want to lose. Right now I am sure this 191-196 is my set weight.
I see post about how active people are, like running a 5k, or how much they work out and I get jealous. To those of you like me who have used our tool and used it well who cannot be as active I applaude you! I'm extremely proud of myself and that's a hard thing to say.
I hate you sleeve when I cannot eat what I want to binge on and I love you for it too!
Congrats on getting so far! And for learning how best to maximize your loss in your personal cir****tances. You should be proud of yourself! It's an incredible accomplishment and you've come a long way.
Our sleeves are just amazing. Like you, I'm just over 1 year post-op and I continue to be thrilled and stunned by what it will let me do and permit me to live the life that I know I was meant to have.
I'm signed up for a 5K... but I'm kinda scared to actually DO it! Don't be jealous; we all have our own limitations and it's just a matter of finding what is right for you. So feel empowered and stand tall for all the things you HAVE accomplished!

Hi! I am only a few weeks ahead of you and have been in the same boat-I'm not able to exercise due to health issues. Also-I was also stuck in the low 190s/high 180s for a LONG time. With my restriction so strong, it broke that and dropped really fast. I would say the last 20 pounds made the biggest difference in my size and appearance. It went from looking good an "not fat" to looking great and "skinny" (although I can't see myself as skinny.
So stick with the small portions and it will start dropping even without exercise!
