So I had my surgery yesterday and iam experiencing SEVERE pain in the bottom left abdominal area. This makes it difficult to do just about anything. I'm sipping sipping sipping but tend to feel a lil heart burn after I drink. I know I'm not alone but can't help to feel that way

Any severe pain not help by pain meds warrents a call or visit to your surgeon if you are already home, especially 1 day post-op. Are you taking your pain meds?

Hang in there - it does get better.  That was were my pain was, hurt to get up and down and out of bed BUT it will go away.  It is my understanding the left side incision is where they remove the excess tummy.  Take your pain meds and relax.  Days 2-4 where a booger with left side paid and gas.

I am 12 weeks out and loving my decision.

Yes that's exactly how my pain comes.. Once I get up or walk...they say I must walk but it is so discouraging because of  thethe pain. I'm glad to hear it gets better though

Are you taking pain medication?  Are you taking a PPI to help with acid?

Yes I am taking both. They say the pain is normal but I just wish I could have been one of the patients who did not encounter this pain... Looking forward to the future though
