I am two years post op and I take miralax daily.  I found that 1/2 dose every day keeps me regular.  Its just part of my bedtime ritual now.  If I miss a dose, I'll know it!

You'll find a good solution.  Hang in there.

best of luck,

Carol

I struggled with constipation until my primary doc told me to add Probiotics once a day.  She said due to surgery the good bacteria were too few in my stomach .  It made a huge difference.  She also had me add Miralax once a day.  I put one dose in my Decaf coffee in the morning.  I feel so much better since I started this a couple of weeks ago.

I use Miralax in my morning shake most days because it's non-addicting, non-stimulant, and keeps things moving.  I have a good poop most every morning.

Later on you may want to try Fiber One Protein bars, they work wonders for me--I'm telling you I'll have a half morning other half evening and it does wonders for me.  Whenever I go back to drinking protein drinks I suffer with this issue if I don't do this.

Miralax, Fiber and stool softners at first, now I only use softners.  No problem with my daily doo.

I will note that my surgeon said (and I believe I saw something on this post) that too much fiber can stretch your new tummy.   I stopped the fiber and with my food and regularity its all good.

A good friend told me about Arbonne Fiber and I love it. I was constipated before surgery and worse after. But now I sometimes go 2 times a day. I just add 1 scoop to my protein shakes. You can find it on amazon.com, you don't need a distributor. Good luck, I know how you feel.
