1 Month Out!
Good:
30.2 lbs gone (41.2 down since pre-op diet). I had started having pain in my knees, ankles & feet - that stopped after I'd lost about 10 lbs & hasn't come back. My ankles don't swell (that stopped when I gave up Diet Coke). Getting fluids in & eating ok - sometimes I really just wan****er or popsicles & have to force myself to eat.
I'm doing well at working through my food issues - a long road, but progress is good. I've been able to acknowledge how I'm feeling when I'm frustrated because I can't turn to food & find other outlets instead (walking, mostly).
Bad:
Not much is bad. Some numbness still in my outer thighs, but had the same after my gallbladder was removed so I knew what it was before checking with my doctor. It's going away bit by bit & doesn't inhibit my walking.
Gross:
I've puked twice. It wasn't fun, but I felt better after both times. Once was cheese & once was half a protein bar.
I'm glad things are going mostly well. It definitely seems like the good is outweighing the bad. And good on you for working through your food issues! It's an important part of continued success.
