Stomach capacity varies by individual and by what you're eating. All of my materials from my surgeon's office indicated I would be eating 6-8oz by a couple of months post-op. That has not been the case for me. I ate 2-2.5 oz until about 6 months post-op and I'm just now eating around 4.5-5oz at a year post-op (and only 4oz if I'm eating just dense protein). You'll have to find what your sweet spot is - the point at which you are satiated by not stuffed - and that will increase a little bit over time.
I must have a small sleeve. I am a year out and I still eat 2-3 oz. My goal is to keep my restriction. Stretching things out again isn't where I want to go. Oh eat about every 2 hours. String cheese, beef jerky, boiled egg...things like that. The sleeve isn't about how much you can eat its about eating small amounts of highly nutritious food. Protein will keep u full longer. If u eat veggies always eat your protein first then top off with a bite or two of veggie. Some times I save my veggie for my snack later when I am craving green beans especially. Like everyone else said it might be stomach acid. I am r am rarely hungry. I eat on a schedule but my hunger sign now is fatigue from needing more fuel for my body. I hope this helps
That's so funny, because I see a lot of people say only eat 3 times a day, so 2 oz, 3 times a day doesnt fill me up so well, so if I could eat more often, I could probably keep it to 2 oz or so. :)

What your plan says is most important. Some people have plans that say 5 meals a day, others, like me, have plans that say only 3.

My plan just has a list of things that I can eat during the liquid phase and things to avoid during mushy phase. It breaks down the correlation between ounces and cups, etc. But does not have a timeline or state when to eat. That's why I've called into the doc and left a message. I'm coming up on the ability to eat a full menu soon, and I want to make sure Im doing it right.

In the beginning I was three meals a day. I couldnt tolerate protein drinks after surgery so the only way to get enough protein in was to increase my "meals". It was really hard then trying to find things I could tolerate. Now, a year out its not so bad. I can tolerate cheese and cottage cheese but protein drinks nauseated me still. If you have trouble getting in your protein in your current plan maybe call or meet with your dietitian or the nurse. Seems everyone has a unique experience and things have to be tweaked. It gets better in maintance!
