Just basically got told off by a 90 lb blond
I had something similar happen to me about 3 months ago...
I went to lunch with my BFF and another friend who's daugher is a culinary student
and the school has a cafe
anywho the friend also invited someone whom the rest of us don't know...
somehow my surgery comes up and this girl (whos over weight herself)
said "did you really have to do that"
W....T....F!!!!! You don't even know me, (or in her defense , I guess.. Me fat)
I thought my BFF was gonna jump over the table and kick it old school NY,
but I just looked at her dead in the eye and said...
Uhhhhh YEA..with my WHO THE **** ARE YOU!! Look..
anyway we can take something from the great Forrest Gump,
who said and it ALWAYS rings true...
STUPID IS, AS STUPID DOES....
I'd explain to her politely that she's a dumb ass. Ok maybe not dumb ass, a rude dumb ass. Lol
No one surgery is better than the other, what works for one may not work for another. T-Rebel
Hi everyone
I never respond...I usually just creep...anyways this is a big pet peeve of mine...what works for me....I ask them if they know anyone with heart problems, diabetes or high blood pressure....then I say do they take medication to help this....then I ask "is that the easy way out?"...does taking medication seem to be taking the easy way out, no it is life saving...I personally do not think WLS is the easy way out, I have done it and it is not easy....taking the weight off reduces my high risk of diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure ( which is rampant in my family on both sides), and I would do it all over again....anyways you should be proud of yourself....never bring yourself to someone else's level when it is below yours! Good for you! And remember you do not have to defend your self from sheer lack of knowledge....
She won't get fired if you tell HR that she did not agree with your weight loss surgery. She was outspoken but remember that the majority of the world agrees with her. Most people consider it the easy way out.
I usually keep my surgery to myself. I don't want to be bothered educating people about it.
