Day 4 of pre op diet...feeling so tired and headachey
I am on 3 weeks of protein shakes and low sodium/no fat broth. Is there anything that can help with feeling lousy..or is it just the way it is?
Taking in 1000-1200 cal per day 133gr of protein ..taking multivitamin, Vit D and Calcium. I've lost 8 lbs in 4 days..which is exciting.
Why are you on low sodium? Sodium is important, and you really need it if you're on a low carb diet. A low carb diet is diuretic and you need to replace the fluids AND the electrolytes that get flushed out with them. Sometimes people call it "Atkins Flu." A cup of broth a day will make a big difference.
I am taking one cup of broth a day..was worried about electrolytes and sodium...maybe I'll add a tiny bit of salt to it. Not sure how to add in electrolytes though?
I found that the first 3-4 days of my pre-op diet were sucky, but it got much better afterward.
