will not getting enough fluids slow weight loss?

I'm just curious. Ive been struggling to get in enough fluids but am still losing about a pound a day or .5lb. Anyway,  I need to drink more and keep track better but was just curious if it affected the rate of  losing too.

1/2 to 1 pound a day is really good.  The most important thing is to stay hydrated -- otherwise you could end up in the hospital getting iv fluids.  If you're just drinking water, try to vary the temperature, and/or add flavoring.  Try teas or broths or sugar free pops.

I have no trouble tolerating fluids, it just feels like there's not enough hours in the day to get what I need. I have 3 kids life is busy I feel like I'm drinking all day but I can tell by my dark urine I obviously am not getting enough. Sorry tmi.

Definitely you need to get the minimum amount of fluid recommended by your surgeon. And if you can make it plain water. Kickstarted me back into losing.

It is very hard on your kidneys and liver to not get enough fluids right now.  They are working overtime to filter and rid your body of all the byproducts from fat breakdown.  Drink up!

My doctors absolutely didn't want me losing more than a half-pound or pound per day!  I know you're still in the early stages of post-op but that is losing at a very fast pace.  It will slow down (it has to!).  But yes, not drinking enough can slow down the loss.  Make sure you are getting at least 64 ounces per day, preferably 80 oz. per day.

I haven't been given a guideline for losing. The first 10 days postop I lost like 25lbs fast,( I know 10 of it was water from all the IV fluids though), then didn't lose anything for 2wks, now I've lost another 10lbs the last week and a half or so. I will work on really trying to get more fluids in.
