Super stressed .out lately, trying my hardest to lose these few lbs AGAIN. I am taking statistics online, along with another nursing class, working full time, applying to new jobs, trying to get wedding thank you cards out, dealing with some back issues, and mom just went into the hospital....again. Feel on the edge of breaking, but keeping the eating under control! I just keep thinking about looking and feeling good this summer, and a possible sister trip to Mexico. Deep breaths...

B: large iced coffee, one egg with leftover corned beef, onion, and cheese

S: 1/2 scoop syntrax lemonade

L: one egg with leftover corned beef, onion, and cheese

D: salad with feta, 3, broccoli slaw, onion,  cabbage,  3oz steak, champagne vinaigrette

S: maybe a chocolate protein frappe!

W: large iced coffee (32oz), one diet root beer (12oz), 76oz water

V: need one more calcium

hiya! I had my surgery on the 19th of feb. I checked and checked the paperwork (a ton) about what I can eat and what I can't. All it says was that for the first weeks, meals need to be 1/4 of a cup (2oz), but it seems like everyone is eating more than that. I get so hungry throughout the day, but I'm sticking to the 3 meals a day, 2 oz each. I have called and left a message with the nurse, but she isn't getting back to me about it.

Im honestly starving. Is anyone else eating more than 2oz, 3 times a day?

Hi elliebean78,

My plan had me working up to 1/2 cup per meal. When I was just starting out I could only eat about 1/4 of a cup but now I am able to eat a little more. My NUT wants me doing about 2 oz of dense protein (like meat) and if I am still hungry add in veggies but combined no more than 1/2 cup. Currently I am not feeling a lot of restriction when I eat 1/2 a cup but I do stop with that and I am okay and not feeling hungry after that. I know that may change as I get further out. My goal right now is to get in my 60+ grams of protein and 64+ oz of fluids each day which I am doing with no problems. Are you currently taking a PPI? It may be acid that makes you think you are hungry throughout the day. I am currently on 40 mg of Protonax for the first two months after surgery.
