On-the-go, high protein breakfast
I need suggestions for a high protein breakfast that I can eat in my car on the way to work. No spoons needed please! And I am not that crazy about boiled eggs. I am a bit of a picky eater and do not like protein bars either. Every one that I have tried taste very chalky to me and I have tried many different brands. Any help you can give is much appreciated.
We make egg cups in a muffin tin. They're little crustless quiches and they're good cold or microwaved for 20 seconds.
Other things that I like are string cheese or cheddar sticks. Most days I have a protein shake, though.

How about meat and cheese roll-ups? I take these along for a snack when I am out running errands. It keeps me from using protein bars. They have way too many calories/carbs for the plan I am following. And it is the dense protein the nutritionist suggests to eat. Sometimes I liven it up with horseradish depending on the time of day.

Egg muffins are great. I cannot tolerate eggs tho, so I eat these: Pigs in a pillow. I make a batch (24 of them) up on the weekend and eat 2 or 3 in the am. I love them. If you can tolerate eggs, you can sub one egg for the gelatin egg in the recipe.

I drink a Premier Protein RTD chocolate shake every morning for breakfast as I'm always late and rushed. It's 160 calories and 30 grams of protein.
If you're a picky eater, I'm guessing that you don't like protein shakes very much. For me, it's a matter of getting a big dose of protein and energy in the morning to start the day. I hope you'll find something that works for you.
