How long does it take your mind to catch up?
Sometime during the second year, I found that my perceptions of clothing were more on target, and I no longer wondered if I'd fit through a space, in a booth, etc. The old stuff still lurks, and when I'm having a "fat day" - unfortunately they still happen from time to time - my perceptions get temporarily skewed. I gained some weight back, and my clothes got tight, and the old tapes, etc. were coming back big time. I think it will be a lifelong battle, but the further out I get, most of the time I'm on the winning side of the battle. Mary
I'm still on my 6 month PCP supervised diet. I wear 18W-20W in pants and XXL in tops. You know that sizes are different depending on the maker. I weigh 187 pounds and only stand about 4'11". I can't imagine being able to shop in the regular petite department but I will be ecstatic when it finally happens. You guys are inspirational.

I wish I knew! I've come a long way & am still in weight loss mode. Co workers constantly complimenting me or telling me how much my work shirts are swimming on me, but my head still goes back to the old me, only when I look at an old company photo of me at my heaviest weight does it click in.
