Did you measure at full liquids stage?
Hi There =]
I graduate off clear liquids tomorrow. Question though. Did you measuring your 2-4 ounces of oatmeal, pudding, cream soup and yogurt or did you just eating slowly until you felt full? My diet plan does not state to measure while you are full liquids, so I just wanted some opinions =]
Also, how many ounces could you eat at first?
Thanks!
I measured to make sure I was getting all my fluids in, but I didn't measure for portions. I just sipped all day.
When I started eating pureed food, I could eat 2 ounces. Now my meals are about 4 ounces.

When you are newly post-op, you won't feel "full" as the nerves in your stomach have been cut. It is SUPER important to weigh and measure EVERYTHING, not just now but in the future, to make sure you're not eating so much as to hurt yourself, as well as to log your food accurately.

The nerves in your stomach have been severed during surgery, and at this point you won't normally feel any restriction. It's best to measure everything and not rely on your stomach to let you know when it's full.
At first, I could eat about 2 ounces.
