Two Year Surgerversary

Yesterday March 20th, marked two years since my surgery.  I am here to report all is well. I've managed to pretty much maintain my weight (with slight weight gains and losses).  My restriction is still quite good although not nearly what it was in the beginning. 

When I got my sleeve, I made up my mind that I would use it as it was intended.  A tool for weight loss not a cure all. I still have to work to eat the right things and get off my ass to excersise every day.  

I just returned from a business trip in Florida. Two years after surgery it still gives me a warm happy feeling to be able to sit by the pool without thinking people are staring at me or to get on an airplane and not have to ask for a seat belt extender. 

Yes, this still is the best thing I've ever done for myself!

I am so glad you posted your 2 years out and not having issues. I cant wait to be able to do those two little things you spoke about. especially to sit on a plane without a seat belt extender, or having to buy two seats. I am glad to hear about how this is serious and you take it that way. Thanks again for coming back and letting us new people have another example on how to use this tool. 

Congratulations on the continued success. You are absolutely correct that this is a tool and not a magic cure all. I tell my family that pretty frequently. I think it's starting to sink in.

Congrats on two years out. I like your attitude when it come to using your sleeve as a tool and NOT a cure all. My wife and I think the same way. Just like using a tool in the garage, if you don't use it correctly, it won't perform the way it was meant to.
I have to say, traveling three years out is so much fun. My wife and I have smiles on our faces as we walk down the aisle of the plane and not have to worry about bumping into someone. Fitting in the seat and having extra room is an AWESOME feeling.
