Can anyone recommend any good books on vgs

looking for a book or kindle on gastric sleeve. I do better with a daily menu plan that I can follow that would include brkft, snack, lunch, snack dinner, snack ideas. and fitting all the water and supplements in. I need that type of regimen to make it happen for me. Any ideas are appreciated. Even if a successful vet has sample menu plans I would appreciate that. I'm just sort of following a very vague guide given to me by my nutritionist. ex. eat protein first.... I'd like to see brft 1 scrambled egg, 1oz cheese, etc. thank you
Every day there is a post here called "whatcha eating" - so that would be a good place to start.
It might be in your best interest to find a dietician you can see who has WLS experience. It sounds like your surgeon's office did not prepare you at all for this surgery and lifestyle! Which is rather scary!
My plan, once I was able to get all of my protein in, was 3 meals a day, no snacks. My meals are 4 ounces each for lunch and dinner, but I have a shake every day for breakfast since that works best for my lifestyle. I sip liquids all day, except for 30 minutes after lunch and dinner.
I take vitamins 4 times a day. When I wake up I take a calcium CITRATE and b-12 spray, at lunch I take a calcium and multivitamin, at dinner I take my last calcium, another multi, d3, k, and a probiotic. And then I take iron and vitamin C before I go to bed. All of those vitamin times are spaced at least 2 hours apart from each other.

I will look at whatcha eating. You are very mistaken by saying that my surgeon's office didn't prepare me. We had classes preop and support groups and as much 1:1 time with the dr as we need. I have always had a problem putting meals together even when I was on ww last year. I want to get this right so that I am healthy, I do best with a structured meal plan and that's what I'm looking for. Don't make assumptions it's rude, you could have asked, do you think your surgeon prepared you, can you seek help. That would have been a lot easier to swallow.
My dr knows that I work out a lot, just finished a 10k so I need the protein muscle milk 100 snacks.
If the guide you were given by your nutritionist is too vague for you then, yes, your surgeon's office did not prepare you well enough. That's not an assumption, that's a conclusion drawn from the information you've posted both now and pre-op. If you've always had a problem putting meals together, then your surgeon's office should have worked with you to figure out how to do that so that you can succeed.

Here it is, I journaled my intake today and it's 8:56 pm here so I'm about done and tired for the day.
8:30 am 160z water 10:00 1/2 perdue turkey strips 17 gms protein 12:00 muscle milk 100 15 gms protein 3 carbs
1:00 16 oz water 2:00 2 cup progresso split pea soup 18 gm protein 48 carbs 4:00 16 oz water 6:30 1/2 cup turkey breast strips 17 gms protein 9:30 water 160z until 10:30 bed time. Comments welcomed. exercise 10k vitamins
Your grams of protein and ounces of liquid sound great. The two things that stick out to me immediately are that your protein shake is very low in protein - I aim for a minimum of 20 grams of protein in my shake and 25-30 is better. The soup also seems like a bad choice - 2 cups is a LOT of food, it's soup so it's a slider which means it won't keep you feeling full and sated the way dense protein will, and it's got a ton of carbs. All of those things would cause me to pass on it because it's not a nutritionally sound option.
And, given that you ran a 10k, you really should be drinking more than 64 ounces of liquid! I'd work on at least 96 for heavy exercise days.

ok that was helpful. I do have muscle milk here it is 20 gms of protein but it isn't the 100 brand. I can cut out the canned soup and yes it goes down easy btw I cant get the whole thing down that fast. Do you have suggestions for alternatives. I get sick on eggs, mayo makes me go. just wondering. thanks. I gotta go to bed now really tired. thanks have a good nite
If it's canned soup, it's probably also high in sodium which will make you retain more water weight. So definitely good to remove.
I've been posting my meal plans on my blog for a while, some of the recipes might give you ideas of things to eat, especially if you browse back 11 months. https://www.mangeratrois.net/index.php/weekly-meal-plans I try to keep a very varied diet of protein-forward meals. I find that Paleo blogs have a lot of recipes that are very VSG friendly.
