just over 2 wks out - normal?
I can eat like 4oz of Greek yogurt. Seems like alot. Am I overeating or is that normal? I feel like I'm tolerating pureed so well I'm so tempted to eat soft things, but have to stop myself. I keep thinking what's the difference between cream of wheat that gets thick as it sits which is approved and scrambled eggs. So scare me into being good by reminding me why they keep you on pureed for so long (4wks for me).
Did your surgeon or dietician not provide guidance on how much to eat? I was allowed 3 tablespoons of yogurt (or any other pureed food), no more, for a meal. I might have been able to eat more, but 3 tablespoons was fine and I didn't need more, so didn't feel any temptation to test the boundaries of my surgeon's rules.
I am not saying that you *are* overeating or that you are not -- I don't know that -- but I would have felt very unsure of myself if I didn't have rules to follow at that early stage.
Eggs seem soft, but a lot of people have them get stuck. Stay away until they're approved.

every surgeon has there own plan I was allowed any food at 2 weeks
I would cut down to 2 oz at first you really can't feel when you full till the nerves heal , but yogurt is so liquidy that I doubt that it would do any harm
but talk to your nut or surgeon
I really hate when I hear this. We got a whole folder on what, when and how much. Measuring out the amount we could have was a must. At two weeks that was 1-2 oz. We didn't get the next level from the Nut until just before time to move on. This was so we wouldn't get ahead of ourselves. Go slow and take care.
I didn't start to feel restriction until I got to solid foods.
I also didn't eat cream of wheat, which isn't a good protein source.

We can have cream of wheat, cocowheats, yogurt, pureed fruits and veggies, pureed cream and bean soups that have less than 7 gms sugar per serving. Sugar free pudding. They have suggested examples of meals and one of them is 1/2 cup soup, and 1/4 fruit. That seems like alot. I've been having 1/3 cup soup for dinner..
