Belly button redness

I too have an innie and experienced this once, as well.  I  made sure after washing the area each day, that it was bone dry, and used triple antibiotic ointment until it cleared up - took only a couple of days.

It's likely moisture build up from sweat or not drying well enough after a shower, which can become more difficult when we lose lots of weight.

I know this may sound strange, but working in medicine with the elderly, who often have compromised skin in their skin folds, coffee filters are magical.

Tear a small piece and gently pack your belly button and all of the moisture will wick up. It may not be too comfy though. But I'm sure it's manageable until you at least see dermatology and it will likely prevent it from getting worse.

Best of luck!
