I started out a year ago simply dieting and I lost from 350 to 309.  I had surgery on June 12, 2014 at 309 pounds.  As of today I weigh 168 pounds.  My surgeons goal for me was 170...my goal for me is 150.  He has started the process for me for skin surgery.  The sleeve is the best thing I ever could have done for myself.  I love the new me...or what I really should say ...is the me I have always dreamed of being.  There is nothing I cant do now.  I have had no regrets whatsoever.  It has been a journey with ups and downs.  The ups outweigh the downs by far.  I find myself wanting to reach out to very large people now and hug them and tell them about my surgery.  I have to fight it...I know I cant do that.  I just want everyone to feel as great as I do.  Loving life from the inside out.  :)

Congrats! A big huge friendly hug to you :-) Wow what numbers. You are an inspration. If you could offer three things that you believe got you where you are today and share some helpful tips, what would they be? I have surgery scheduled next week. A bit nervous, but looking forward to a new life too☺. Thanks!

Thank you.  3 things that have helped me .  I stick to a strict regimen of breakfast when I get up, at noon I have lunch , then at 4 I have a snack then between 6pm and 7pm I have dinner.  I never stray from that.  I also can honestly say I have not what you would say cheated in all this time.   I am not on a diet.  I had a huge lifestyle change.  The same as a person that was told they were a diabetic or someone with kidney failure.  They would have to change their lifestyle.  I had to change my lifestyle to have a quality of life and that is my attitude.  I also talk to people often that have had surgery before and after me and I go to a support group about once a month.  I also have told everyone I know about the surgery and I know that these people are watching me so it sort of keeps me held accountable.  Plus I just love life now and I cant imagine any other way.  Good luck.
