It has been a painless experience so far and seems surreal. I barely can tell that I had surgery because everything has been great so far. Minimum pain, no gas pains, I want to pinch myself. If it weren't for the 5 scars on my belly I believe that I ran off and went back home. So the journey begins now and the work starts with my now and I can wait for discharge tomorrow. Been walking, walking, walking, and sipping, sipping, sipping.

Congratulations!!!  I'm right there with you (sleeved on 3/4), and 'surreal' is the perfect word.  These next few months are going to be so much fun as we start figuring out our new world order and just celebrating this positive step towards good health!

I'm so excited for you, and so glad that your experience was such a good one.  Best of luck in the weeks to come... Slow and steady, and we'll be enjoying that declining scale in no time!  :) :)

Thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement. I spoke too soon because I was still under the influence of the good iv drugs and today I have been moved to the oral drugs and oh what a difference a day makes. Manageable, but now I do feel the pain and I'm holding onto the fact that it will get better daily.
