Is it possible to be eating too little?

Tomorrow will be two weeks, and ok not sure if I hit the dreaded 3 week stall early- or if maybe I'm not eating enough?  I was losing a pound to a pound and a half a day until Thursday. Then it was -0.2, -0.4., -0.2, -0.2.  I have had trouble finding time to eat, so instead of 5 small "meals" (I'm on full liquids), I've only been getting 3. Usually 4 oz. EAS for breakfast, 4 oz. for lunch and then 2 tablespoons cream of asparagus for dinner.  I've been a little low on my fluids- usually only 50 oz. or so a day.  Is this just a stall? Or do I need to eat more?

You need to get 64 oz  of water a day minimum. One of the things that does is flush things out. You aren't always going to lose a pound a day. Just relax and know that as long as you are following the plan the weight will come off.

You should be getting at least 64 ounces of liquid a day and be aiming for 60 grams of protein a day.  It sounds like you're not anywhere close to that.  Work on sipping all day - you don't need to stick to "meal times" when you're on the liquid diet.  Just work on drinking shakes and other liquids.

Thanks Gwen! I had been mixing my isopure with crystal lights and was probably getting more protein before I started the full liquids. I am going to do that again and really make sure I get my fluids and protein in. I only need to have 4 isopures to get 60 grams in.

You can be hitting the dreaded 3 week stall

however I also can't stress strongly enough

how importan****er is!

more important than your protein levels right now..

I always,  without fail,  I gain weight, if I don't get my water in..

Thanks Gray! I am going to focus more on getting my fluids and protein instead of just the full liquid "meals". :)

Drink a little more, but otherwise you're fine. This is a normal slowdown.

When you're obese, you don't need any calories at all. Calories are a measurement of energy, and you have plenty of energy stored as fat. If you aren't eating calories, your body will take them from stored fat. That's a good thing.

You do need protein. If you aren't eating protein, your body will also take them from internal protein stores, which are otherwise known as muscles. That is not a good thing. If you go long enough with very low protein intake, you will lose hair and nails along with muscle. The last thing to go will be your most important muscle, your heart.

Thanks Grim!  I'm going to try to up my protein a little and get my fluids in. And be patient. :)

Yes it is very possible to be eating too little.  You need to get in your protein -- 60 g + and your water 64 oz +  after that you should be fine.
