You aren't in starvation mode, you're in the "3 week stall." If you search the forum, you'll find thousands of threads about that. The name of the weight loss game is to keep on keepin' on. If daily weighing frustrates you and makes you feel like you need to "act" on it, then the best thing to do is stay off the scale. I, personally, like the data points and use the website trendweight.com to help me keep those daily weight fluctuations in perspective.

Trendweight is a great tool.

Hi Everyone!

I had surgery on 2/25/15.  I have weighed the same amount since Monday and today is Thursday.  Is it possible that my body is already going into starvation mode?  I am very proud of the fact that from My day of surgery (Weds) to this past Monday I had lost 12 pounds, but thats it.  I haven't lost an ounce since Monday.  I am grateful that I have been able the last several days to get all 64 oz. of liquid and at least 50 grams of protein.  I'm using Myfitnesspal to track my calorie intake, and I average between 400-500 calories per day.  Is it normal to stop losing this soon?  The taste of the whey protein isolate is beginning to make me almost sick but I'm white knuckling thru for now.  I ordered some "Peanut Butter Cookie" protein from B.E. and hope it will taste better.

there is a question whether starvation mode is fact or not. In any event,at less than a month out,you still have plenty of body fat to burn, which will keep you out of so called starvation mode.

I know it is not hard to compare yourself to others and what you think you should be losing. I stalled one week after surgery and it lasted 3 1/2 weeks, It didn't make sense when I was eating so little. I then went to lose more weight he second month than the first. I have done fine as you can see from my ticker. Just stick with the plan and don't worry.
