I will be getting the okay to start purees at my appointment next week and wanted to know if anyone had any recipes. I have my list of things I can have and all that. I was just curious if I can make something for my family that uses the things I am allowed and then puree my part? Also any tips or recipes would be greatly appreciated! I am excited to move onto this next stage but a little nervous too.

I have read in some places that some people have issues with chicken at first.. Is this common? I feel like chicken or tuna or other fish would be the protein I would consume the most. So it has me worried.

I heard the same thing about people having issues with chicken too. I have tolerated all foods perfectly. Rotisserie chicken is great. I would throw my in my bullet with mayo & I also did the same with tuna and a hard boiled eggs.

I am actually, weirdly, looking forward to this stage. I went and got a Ninja for this specifically.. Okay that and I wanted one. I have heard people have issues with eggs too. I am hoping I don't because I have been looking forward to scrambled eggs!

I couldn't help myself! I have just used it twice for my shakes so far and love it! I actually made a banana pudding protein shake this morning and it tasted like ice cream! So good! Thanks, me too! :)

Hi Jenna,

HOW do you make a BANANA PUDDING PROTEIN SHAKE - this sounds DELISH (i'm struggling at 1 wk Post op to get the protein in - the taste of the whey protein isolate is making me a little sick)

Hi! I crushed up about 6 ice cubes added a about a cup and half of skim milk then 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, I used Bariatric Advantage, half a scoop of unflavored protein powder and then 2-3 tbsp of sf banana creme pudding mix. I kind of just blending to my liking. It was pretty thick but I just ate it like ice cream. In fact it reminds me of a banana pudding shake from Zaxby's!
