Fiber Supplement
Hey everyone,
I would like to get some opinions on Fiber Supplements. I have been using Miralax about 3-4 times a week to keep things moving but am tired of the cramping feeling. Does anyone have success with a regular all natural fiber supplement? I am only 3 months out and can't eat many fruits and veggies yet and am looking for something without chemicals, etc...When I don't take the Miralax, I am miserable:( thanks in advance for your help with this.

I take a fiber pill (Metamucil) every day and it helps quite a bit, I haven't had any trouble since I started. My surgeon gave the go-ahead and said it's fine to take that long-term, and it doesn't cause the tolerance issues that some stimulant laxatives have. YMMV, though, so check with your surgeon.

Gummies are great, but if you take a lot of them-- like for a multi, calcium, AND fiber, you'll want to log those calories and carbs. I just looked up the stats on some Phillips' gummies, and one dose is 50 cal, 11g carbs.

I take two Fiber Gummies every day, and half a cupful of Miralax five days a week. It's working for me, but YMMV.
