I wrote a post today that I deeply regret writing, and now I would like to post a public apology. I didn't mean to offend anyone, OH gives users the option of keeping profiles private, and users should take advantage of these options for information they don’t want to share with everyone. It's not my business to ask such a question. My most sincere apologies to anyone who was upset, or has been personally affected by my post.

RE:

Do people who make their profile private think that people *****ad profiles are nosy?

I didn't see anybody get offended by it. Seemed like honest curiosity to me :)

I don't think anyone was offended. I certainly wadn't. You asked an honest question, and got a variety of good answers.

It was a perfectly reasonable question - maybe a little humorous (given the nosy comment). I can't imagine that anyone would take offense. I certainly did not. I reread the responses on your post and thought the responses were fine and far from being snarky or seemingly upset. I can only guess that perhaps someone PM'd you and "let you have it" . I really hope that's not the case. I found your post perfectly fine!

have a great weekend and enjoy working on getting ready for your surgery!

No apology needed. Now if you had told us we were a bunch of morons for keeping them private, I would have been offended (not really it takes more to offend me ).

Good luck on your journey!!

Actually, your post did a lot to inform other members as to the benefit of private accounts. I bet someone read your thread and made their profile private as a result. There are some crazy people in the world; it's always best to do what you can to protect yourself.

I replied to your post and wasn't offended at all - I took it as an opportunity to give a PSA!   It's always good to give newer members the benefit of our long term experience on how to manage OH and make your experience fun and most of all, safe!
